Yves Béhar and his San Francisco design studio, fuseproject, explains the importance of partnering with clients. fuseproject are well known for the design of the XO laptop for the not-for-profit One Laptop Per Child program, formed at MIT by architect and computer scientist Nicholas Negroponte. Béhar highlights some of his more recent projects and the his unique way of working with clients.

Connecting ’07, the World Design Congress hosted by ICSID and the IDSA in San Francisco was a frenetic and fruitful gathering of over 3000 designers and industry leaders from around the globe. Frank Tyneski, executive director of the IDSA talks about how it connected designers with industry leaders, and allowed consultants to connect to potential clients.

A mesmerising travelling exhibition called North Meets South, curated by Li Edelkoort, explains why creativity can be considered a driving force towards peace. At the roof of creativity there is an "aesthetic norm” that trends forecaster, Edelkoort defines as “an organic visual language of archaic clear simplicity".
