Belinda Stening – publisher
and managing editor
Belinda founded Curve in 2001. She is the publisher
and managing editor. Belinda is a professional
industrial designer with many years of experience
in industrial design consulting and manufacturing.
She has a bachelor degree in industrial design
and a masters degree in sculpture. |

Debra
Yung – art director
Debra has an honours degree in graphic design
and a diploma in photography. She has worked as
a freelance photographer and graphic designer
in the small business, corporate and higher education
sectors. |

Lisa
Wickes – advertising manager
Lisa is a business-development specialist with
twenty years’ experience in sales and strategic
management. She has worked with local and international
clients, promoting their businesses effectively
in order to significantly increase market share
and brand awareness. |

Laura
Traldi – European editor
Laura is a freelance journalist specialising
in design. She is a regular contributor to the
Italian magazines Interni, Interni Panorama Magazine
and Flair. She writes on an ad hoc basis for other
publications. She is the author of a book, published
by Abitare Segesta in 2005, on the work of Stefano
Marzano, the head designer of electronics giant
Philips, with whom she worked for six years and
for whom she has edited several design books.
Her articles have been published in international
design magazines such as Form, De Architect and
How to spend it Deutschland, the magazine of the
German Financial Times. She has been a regular
contributor to Curve since its launch. Laura lives
in Italy with her husband Robert and her two children. |

Juliet Holdsworth – Asia editor
Juliet is a journalist covering the Asian region for Curve. She has a degree in Mandarin Chinese from Oxford University and has been
permanently based in China and Taiwan since 2005. In Beijing, she interned at the Red Gate Gallery, the first private contemporary
art gallery to be established in China. She was later contracted as an art consultant for redT.art, curating collections for
commercial spaces. Juliet is a published writer, having co-authored and edited several books about life in Shanghai and Beijing.
She now lives in Taiwan with her husband and baby, where she is reporting on local design talent. |

Jonathon Allen
Jonathon is an associate professor of industrial design and associate head of the School of Engineering at the University of Western Sydney. He has a BA (Hons) in industrial design and technology and a PhD in industrial design and has held academic posts in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. Jon’s research interests include new and emerging materials and technologies; design's role in addressing social and environmental concerns; and augmenting people's capabilities through perceptive design. |

Josephine Inge
Josephine is a principal of 1Place Patent Attorneys + Solicitors in Sydney, specialising in intellectual property.
She is a lawyer with training as an IP attorney. Josephine’s background is in bio-medical science and
publishing. Prior to 1Place, she worked in the pre-stigious IP group of a corporate law firm with particular
expertise in copyright. Josephine has written many articles and is a keen photographer. |

August de los Reyes
A designer, writer, and educator, August is the Principal Design Director for Microsoft Surface whose team
is dedicated to pioneering intuitive ways to interact with technology. He is a member of the
Advanced Studies Program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design where he received an MDesS
with Distinction in product design. He was a 2009 juror of the International Design Excellence Awards, and a
visiting associate at the University of Oxford. He holds an affiliate appointment with the design faculty
at University of Washington. |
